Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit.
• Maintains active Alabama RN license.

Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care & Advocacy: Assess patient needs, revise care plans, monitor progress, prioritize care, and advocate for patients and families.
• Age-Appropriate Competency: Provide age-specific care with development principles and unit procedures.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Act as preceptor, charge nurse, or educator; coordinate care and communicate with the team.
• Professional Role Modeling: Support hospital goals, perform ethically, and foster respectful relationships.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records meeting regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Continuous Learning & Development: Engage in professional development, attend trainings, mentor staff and students.
• Quality Improvement & Problem Solving: Participate in committees and apply evidence-based practice to resolve issues.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient use of supplies and keep area organized.
