Job summary

IMEG in Raleigh, NC is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Grad to work with experienced engineers on building electrical systems. The role supports analysis, design, and oversight of project budgets and client expectations, collaborating with architects, project managers, and other engineers.

You will assist with designs, calculations, and documentation, while contributing to safety reviews, quality control, and ongoing professional growth within a national design leader.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT or equivalent required.
• EIT license preferred.
• Knowledge of design techniques and tools for electrical plans.
• Strong technical and analytical skills including circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems and electronics.
• Experience with lighting calculations and energy compliance tools.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of electrical systems for buildings.
• Prepare detailed designs, specs, and calculations using engineering software.
• Support client interactions and communicate technical information clearly.
• Build and maintain client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and project progress.
• Analyze low- to medium-complexity tasks with senior staff.
• Participate in quality control to ensure standards are met.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
