Job summary

QED Systems, LLC seeks a New Equipment Installer (Technician) to support PM PNT efforts. This remote role requires extensive travel and clearance, with installation and troubleshooting of PNT systems on military vehicles across various locations.

Applicants should have high school credentials and 4+ years testing electronic equipment, including 2+ years on military subsystem installations. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in the maintenance of Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV, and HMMWVs preferred.

Job description

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a New Equipment Installer (Technician) to join our team to support our customer, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT). This is a remote position.

Duties

• Provides field support services related to the installation, troubleshooting and repair of systems and subsystems.
• Conducts installation of PNT systems on combat vehicles to include but not limited to Abrams, Bradley, JLTV, HEMMT, FMTV and HMMWVs.
• Facilitates higher level repair of equipment.
• Ensures support equipment and tools are regularly calibrated and maintained.
• Troubleshoot related product malfunctions. Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
• Distinguish between hardware and software problems during equipment checks.

Required Clearance

• ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

• Four (4) years of total experience testing of electronic equipment, to include; two (2) years of testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems experience.

Travel

• Not less than 50% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment

• This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands

• Be independently mobile.

• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
• Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
• Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Estimated Salary Range

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
