QED Systems, LLC is seeking a Field Service Representative (Technician) to join our team at Fort Hood, TX. This full-time role involves field support for troubleshooting and repair of systems, software updates, and hands-on maintenance in a military environment.

Qualified candidates have an AA/AS or technical degree, 6 years in electronic equipment testing, and at least 4 years in testing/troubleshooting military subsystems. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or two-year technical school required.
• Six (6) years of total experience with testing electronic equipment.
• Four (4) years of testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems; two (2) additional years may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Field Service Representative (Technician) to join our team at Fort Hood, TX to support our customer, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT).

Duties:

• Provides field support services related to troubleshooting and repair of systems, performs software updates, and mentors Soldiers in the execution of maintenance.
• Facilitates higher level repair of equipment.
• Ensures support equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained.
• Troubleshoots and repairs systems, perform software updates.
• Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
• Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Required Clearance:

• ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Qualifications:

• AA/AS degree or two-year technical school required. Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, preferred.
• Six (6) years of total experience with the testing of electronic equipment, to include four (4) years of experience in the testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems.
• Two (2) additional years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement.

Travel:

Not less than 33% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or fieldenvironments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands of this position include ability to:

• Be independently mobile.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
• Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
• Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.
