Job summary

The Baker Center for Children and Families (Judge Baker Children's Center) seeks an Executive Director to lead the New England Association of Child Welfare Commissioners and Directors (NEACWCD). This regional leadership role requires building cross-state partnerships among CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, and VT while advancing kin-first practices and youth engagement.

The role is remote with occasional travel and offers a path to work with national partners, foundations, and federal resources to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in social work, public administration, public policy, human services, child welfare, behavioral health, organizational leadership, or related field.
• Equivalency considered with experience and demonstrated expertise.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in child welfare, human services, or related leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Builds trusted relationships with Commissioners, Directors, and senior child welfare leaders across the six New England states.
• Identifies shared priorities and translates them into regional initiatives and learning opportunities.
• Designs and facilitates leadership meetings, multi-state learning collaboratives, and peer-learning opportunities.
• Oversees finances, contracts, operations, and sustainability of the Association.
