Emery Jensen Distribution in Providence, RI is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager for New England to sign new high-value customers across Pro Lumber, Pro Paint and Hardware channels. You will develop a pipeline, articulate Emery Jensen's value proposition, and transition new accounts to Territory Managers after signing.

This hunter role rewards relationship-building, strategic planning, and a strong track record in growing profitable partnerships with independent retailers.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years in new business development or territory manager position.
• Comfortability with cold calling and a track record for success.
• Knowledge/experience in the hard-lines industry preferred.
• Existing book of business highly preferred.
• Travel 60-75% of the time; residence near Albany NY, Portland ME or Providence RI.

Responsibilities

• Increase top-line sales while targeting new prospects with profitability in mind.
• Develop and manage a prospect pipeline with measurable results.
• Articulate Emery Jensen’s value proposition to prospective customers.
• Transition new accounts to Territory Managers after signing.
• Collaborate with sales team and vendors to present solutions.
• Attend industry events and leverage marketing materials to drive conversions.
