Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in civil engineering, construction, or related field, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local drainage regulations and construction principles.
• Ability to read detailed prints, construction plans, and property records.
• Proficiency with office equipment and data entry for records and reports.
• Prior experience coordinating drainage projects and communicating with contractors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Inspects assigned drain projects and permits during construction and reconstruction.
• Review plans for compliance with codes and specifications; issue stop-work orders if needed.
• Review permit applications and maintain permit databases until inspection closure.
• Conduct final inspections and generate punch lists for contractors/engineers/developers.
• Assist with development of drainage standards and investigations of hazardous spills.
