Job summary

The Advocate is seeking a Marketing Account Executive to drive new business in Shreveport and surrounding Northwestern Louisiana. This role focuses on identifying untapped opportunities, opening doors, and closing new business with an emphasis on print and digital advertising solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of sales or media advertising experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to sell across print, digital, and emerging platforms.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience required.
• Previous media/advertising sales experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of today’s marketing/advertising ecosystem, including both traditional and digital media.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new advertising clients through strategic outreach, networking, and market research.
• Consultative Selling: Discover client objectives and develop customized advertising solutions using our full suite of print and digital offerings.
• Multi-Platform Expertise: Present and sell cross-platform campaigns including print, SEM, SEO, social media, OTT/CTV, targeted display, and more.
• Digital Leadership: Stay current on emerging media trends and position digital-first strategies to new advertisers.
• Competitive Conquesting: Convert advertising dollars from competitive media by articulating ROI of The Advocate’s solutions.
• Relationship Development: Build long-term partnerships with new clients by delivering results and service.
• Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain pipelines, forecasts, and activity reporting; provide market insights.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and industry events to sharpen sales skills.
