Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR, is seeking a CNA for the Neurovascular, Medical Surgical Unit on a .9 FTE night shift (7pm–7:30am, 3 12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends and holidays.

The unit cares for post-operative neurosurgery and EMU patients in a stroke center; you will support RN with admissions, discharges, vital signs, specimen collection, and patient transfers, with opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification Licensure required at hire.
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire.
• Experience as CNA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to a high functioning team.
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
