Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a CNA for the Neuroscience Unit on a .9 FTE day shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm; 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly) with rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with admissions, discharges and transfers, and record vital signs and specimens.

Qualifications

• Oregon CNA license required at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Experience in hospital or long-term setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team and support RN with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs and patient outputs, and assist with specimen collection.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe handling devices.
• Observe and document patient status; participate in continuing education and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the RN and unit leadership.
