Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Neurovascular, Medical Surgical Unit. This .9 FTE night shift position runs 7pm–7:30am across three 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays in Portland, Oregon.

The role supports RN staff with admissions, discharges, and patient care while contributing to a high-functioning team. Required: Oregon CNA certification and BLS. Preferred: 1 year CNA experience.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification is required upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification through American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Preferred: 1 year of CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, outputs, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices
• Support a high-functioning interprofessional team
• Other duties as assigned
