Job summary
UC Irvine invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner PD in the Department of Neurological Surgery. The NP will participate in comprehensive patient care across ambulatory and inpatient settings under physician supervision.
The role requires CA NP and RN licenses, furnishing license, DEA, and board certification (AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG) with 6 months NP experience, preferably in neurosurgery or neuroscience. License and privileges must be secured before start.
Qualifications
- Must complete an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current, active California RN license and NP license.
- CA furnishing license and DEA registration required.
- NP board certification AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- At least 6 months NP experience, neurosurgery/ neuroscience experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination for neurosurgery patients.
- Deliver care in ambulatory or inpatient settings under physician supervision.
- Document medical information clearly in patient records.
- Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and PHI policies.
- Obtain credentials and privileges prior to clinical work.
