Job summary

Avera is seeking a Medical Doctor for neurosurgery in Sioux Falls. You will provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care within a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, educate patients and families, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintain records, and collaborate with care teams. The role emphasizes safety, CARE standards, and dedication to moving health forward.

Qualifications

• Must hold Medical Doctor license to practice in the service state
• Board certified or board eligible in specialty
• Federal DEA license (or Eligible) required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per approved protocol and standards
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families
• Educates individuals and groups to promote trust and health responsibility
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates care plans
• Maintains patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Collaborates with care team for referrals and care coordination
