Job summary

Avera is seeking a physician to join the Neurology team in Aberdeen. The role involves direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within neurology, with on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires medical licensure in the practice state, board eligibility or certification, and participation in ongoing medical education. The team works collaboratively to move health forward for patients and the community.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed to practice medicine in the state where services are provided.
• Board certification or eligibility required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols and standards.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and formulate care plans.
• Maintain patient records with accurate information.
• Promote safety, environment of care, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team; arrange referrals as needed.
• Contribute to quality care and patient outcomes.
