Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Creve Coeur is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (Specialty) to support Neurosurgery. You will perform patient care under the direction of a specialty physician, handle vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs and injections, and assist with exams and procedures.

This role offers a 40-hour week, day shift (8:00a-4:30p), with no on-call, no weekend, and no holiday requirements, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of medical assisting experience.
• Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise required or preferred.
• 5-10 years experience preferred for advancement in specialty roles.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs and patient history; accurate charting.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triages calls and shares test results with patients using correct medical terminology.
• Prepares patients for exams, procedures and treatments; explains procedures and medications.
