Job summary

BJC Medical Group with Neurology Associates in Creve Coeur is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. This outpatient role offers a 40-hour week, day shifts from Monday to Friday (8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and guaranteed benefits. No call, no weekends, and no holidays are required.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma or GED; CPR certification is preferred. Experience is not required, but basic clinical skills and charting are essential to support physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Outpatient MA role under supervision of physician or licensed provider.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required for entry-level MA position.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains charting in patient records.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, communicates test results to patients and informs the provider with clear medical terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
