Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant in Bend, Oregon. The role focuses on managing daily patient flow, triaging information for care teams, and supporting physicians across multiple departments within a large health system.

The MA works in a high-standard, confidential environment, collaborating with clinicians and staff to deliver compassionate care. Relocation assistance is offered for qualified candidates with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Current MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or EMT licensure is required or preferred.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prep for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient data in medical chart.
• Assist physician with phone requests from patients and other medical staff.
• Perform various physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
• Support Lean principles and the organization’s values and ethics.
