Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking hospital-based Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient care on a rotating night shift. The contingent, inpatient role collaborates with attending physicians and the care team to diagnose, educate, and treat patients in the ICU and hospital units.

The ideal candidate holds an NP or PA credential with current licensure and national certification, BLS, and ACLS/ATLS/PALS as required by the department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (NP) or Bachelor's degree/AMA-approved Physician Assistant program.
• Current state licensure and national certification (CNP or NCCPA).
• Current RN license (NPs) or Michigan state licensure (PAs).
• BLS and ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider certification as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat inpatient patients in collaboration with attending physicians and the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Perform procedures as per credentialing and experience.
• Coordinate care to achieve optimal patient outcomes safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive inpatient care.
