Job summary

Henry Ford Health System in West Bloomfield is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team. This day shift role provides comprehensive inpatient surgical care, including inpatient coverage, ER consultations, and care coordination for surgical patients.

Opportunities to serve as an OR first assist may be available. HFHS is a Level 3 Trauma Center, with two weekend shifts per month and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of surgery experience as an APP.
• NP or PA graduate from an accredited program.
• National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA).
• BLS and ACLS certifications; ACLS may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient surgical care and inpatient/ER consultations.
• Coordinate care with attending physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Potentially serve as OR first assist based on qualifications.
