Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Critical Care team at West Bloomfield, MI. The role offers night shifts, high autonomy, and collaboration with a board-certified intensivist.

Expect procedural opportunities and emphasis on safe, evidence-based patient care across multiple ICUs. The ideal candidate possesses ICU inpatient experience, NP/PA credentials, and national certification, with BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ICU Inpatient experience as an APP
• NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
• National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
• BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient critical care coverage across ICUs under collaboration with an intensivist
• Obtain patient histories, perform exams, order/interpret tests, and diagnose
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Work with staff physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement, thoracentesis and paracentesis
