Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join its Neurosurgery team in a full-time role. You will train 1:1 with a neurosurgeon, assist in operating room procedures, and handle cranial and spine cases in a busy, patient-centered practice.

A Master’s degree and Connecticut licensure eligibility are required, with prior neuro or ortho OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a PA/APRN in Connecticut.
• Certification as PA or NBCRNA/APRN preferred.
• >1 year surgical PA experience in Neurosurgery/Orthopedics; OR 1st Assist preferred.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 training with a neurosurgeon.
• Provide OR first assist for cranial and spine cases.
• Perform advanced surgical procedures within neurosurgery.
• Collaborate with a team of advanced practitioners.
• Contribute to patient-centered care in a busy neurosurgery setting.
