Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our neurosurgery team in Connecticut. You will perform 1st assist in complex cranial and spine cases, work closely with a neurosurgeon, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

We offer robust mentorship, ongoing training, and a path for professional growth within Hartford HealthCare’s Advanced Practice Office.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or NP Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or APRN in CT.
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a PA or NP.
• 1+ year experience in Neurosurgery or Orthopedics; 1st Assist in OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st assist in neurosurgery and skull-base procedures.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeon and advanced practitioners.
• Assist in OR cases and patient management throughout procedures.
• Support ongoing growth and development of the advanced practice team.

• OR Time –1st Assist
• The opportunity to work with a team of advanced practitioners with an abundance of Neurosurgery experience
• Advanced surgical procedures both cranial and spine. Specializing in skull base procedures
• Established practice and staff who take time with their patients

Shift -FullTimefour 10-hour shifts, M-F. Hours may vary dependent upon case load
