Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Biorepository Research Coordinator to work with Neurosurgery researchers on cutting-edge biosample collection, processing, storage and distribution. You will identify eligible participants, obtain informed consent, and assist in sample transport and data management.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HIPAA, FDA, IRB guidelines, maintaining SOPs, and coordinating with clinical staff, researchers and external collaborators

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• One year clinical research or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgical staff, pathology, and clinicians to obtain tissue samples.
• Log, label, process and store tissue samples securely in the database and biorepository.
• Prepare, track, and ship specimens for external research collaborators while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in development, implementation, and quality assurance audits of SOPs.
• Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials and safety.
• Process and analyze biosamples for collaborative studies.
• Accurately enter clinical data, pathology reports, and sample inventory into the Biorepository database.
