Job summary

The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with neurosurgery physicians and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care across the continuum, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. This role encompasses rounding on postoperative neurosurgical patients and supporting spine and complex cranial procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program OR Nurse Practitioner program with Acute Care certification.
• Current licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges with The MetroHealth System within 90 days of placement and maintain privileges.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on postoperative neurosurgical patients.
• Evaluating and managing patients with neurological and spine-related conditions.
• Responding to ED and inpatient neurosurgical consults.
• Assisting neurosurgeons in the operating room and participating in surgical procedures.
• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Developing expertise in acute neurosurgical and spine care.
