Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs non-licensed patient care tasks supporting the multidisciplinary team in UAMS Neuroscience Clinics.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
  • Completion of patient care technician course within 3 months of hire
  • Excellent communication, basic computer skills, strong work ethics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or military corpsman
  • Patient care experience in acute/outpatient settings
Additional Information

The PCT works under RN supervision, performing tasks that do not require a license, and adheres to UAMS standards and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with R.N. regarding patient care
  • Follow the Plan of Care as delegated
  • Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort
  • Document all care activities accurately and timely
  • Support department team members and communicate patient needs
Salary and Application Documents
