Qualifications

• Muss CPR-Zertifizierung innerhalb von 3 Monaten nach Einstellung erhalten.

Position Specifics

Department: ICE | NUSL Neurosurgery Center OP C

Summary of Job Duties: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care tasks that do not require a license, supporting the delivery of care as part of the multidisciplinary team in UAMS Neuroscience Clinics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
• Successful completion of patient care technician course within 3 months of hire
• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow oral instructions, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a nursing assistant or military corpsman
• Patient care experience in acute/outpatient care setting

Additional Information

The PCT works under RN supervision, performing tasks that do not require a license, and must pass required competencies. Adheres to UAMS standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with R.N. regarding patient care and changes in condition
• Carry out the Plan of Care as delegated
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Follow directions from R.N.s and team members
• Provide grooming, hygiene, and assistance with activities
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely
• Assist patients and visitors as needed
• Support department members and notify staff of issues
• Perform other duties as assigned
