Job summary

UTHealth Houston in The Woodlands seeks an experienced Assistant Practice Manager to lead outpatient operations, supervise clinic staff, and implement quality improvement initiatives. The role focuses on safe, patient-centered care, and efficient daily workflows within a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will drive patient experience, access, and efficiency while coordinating budgets, HR activities, and regulatory compliance to support the MMS/Neurosciences team and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate's Degree required; may substitute with equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum Experience: 4 years of clinical management experience in an outpatient clinic.
• Residency requirement: Texas residency per job posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direction and coordination of clinic staff through supervision, policy and procedure development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee patient care and clinical operations to ensure high quality care and exceptional customer service.
• Develop priorities, goals, action plans, and staffing schedules to ensure appropriate skill mix.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, infection control, and environmental safety practices.
• Assist with budgets, payroll, and HR activities including recruitment, hiring, and evaluations.
• Prepare reports and support management in strategy execution.
