Job summary

Xavier University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall 2027, to complement its new undergraduate programs in Neuroscience. The successful candidate should have a passion for teaching undergraduates.

This is not a remote position and the appointment is renewable annually for up to three years, with no visa sponsorship. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, potentially in neuroscience, anatomy, or physiology,

Qualifications

• PhD candidate or PhD in biological sciences required.
• Specialization in neuroscience required; any neuroscience focus welcomed.
• Visiting status with annual renewal up to three years; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of 4 courses per semester, including neuroscience, majors‑level anatomy and/or physiology, and other upper division courses as needed.
• Materials exist for many courses and will be shared by the department.
• Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence and student success.
