Xavier University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall 2027, to complement its new undergraduate programs in Neuroscience. The successful candidate should have a passion for teaching undergraduates.

This is not a remote position and the appointment is renewable annually for up to three years, with no visa sponsorship. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, potentially in neuroscience, anatomy, or physiology,

Department of BiologyXavier University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall2027, to complement its new undergraduate programs in Neuroscience.

The successful candidate should bring a passion for teaching undergraduates. This is not a remote position. The position is renewable annually for up to three years, pending continued need. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The individual must either be a Ph.D. candidate or hold a Ph.D. in an area of the biological sciences. Specialization in neuroscience required, with any area of neuroscience welcomed.

Responsibilities

Teaching the equivalent of 4 courses per semester which may include courses in neuroscience, majors‑level anatomy and/or physiology, professional skills courses for majors and/or other upper division courses of interest. Most of these are existing classes and already have materials prepared that will be shared.
