Xavier University invites applications for a renewable/permanent non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Biology for Fall 2027. The candidate must hold at least an MS in a biological sciences field, with strong preference for human physiology expertise.

This on-site position includes teaching human physiology labs and coordinating multi-section labs with the department. Responsibilities include courses for majors and non-science/health majors, plus service to the department and

Qualifications

• MS degree in an area of the biological sciences.
• Experience relevant to human physiology strongly preferred.
• Prior experience teaching college student labs, especially human physiology.

Responsibilities

• Teach majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Physiology).
• Teach non-science majors’ and allied health majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology).
• Prepare one multi-section lab per term and coordinate with faculty and lab manager.
