Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director, Translational Medicine in neuroscience to lead translational disease strategies for Alzheimer’s/Neurological diseases. This role requires deep disease expertise, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and collaboration with clinicians, informatics, and external partners.

You will guide analyses to identify biomarkers from multi-omics data and contribute to publications and scientific communications within a dynamic research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a neuroscience-related field.
• 8+ years post-PhD experience with demonstrated leadership in integrating, analyzing, and interpreting multimodal biological data.
• Strong background in neuroscience with focus on Alzheimer’s disease, human genetics/genomics, molecular and cellular biology.
• Knowledge in immunology is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing and competing priorities and ambiguity.
• Strong team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience with clinical trials preferred but not essential.
• Strong track record of high-quality scientific publications in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes translational disease strategy in Alzheimer’s/Neurological disease areas with deep disease expertise.
• Leads and oversees execution of disease strategy including various aspects of patient selection strategies.
• Generates novel hypotheses for targetable biologies based on discoveries and neuroscience expertise.
• Manages cross-functional disease project teams with key interfaces across IT, bioinformatics, data science, stats, external collaborators, and asset leads.
• Maintains relationships with translational clinicians to identify opportunities and gain disease insight.
• Leads collaborations with academia and industry to identify biobanks and clinical data to mine for biomarkers.
