Job summary

Novartis Biomedical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program invites applications for a Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow in Cambridge, MA to investigate TDP-43-driven neurodegeneration using human iPSC-derived neuron-glia systems, proteomics, transcriptomics, and multiomics integration.

The program trains early career scientists through rigorous research, AI-enabled biomedical approaches, and leadership development, with a three-year duration and full-time commitment. Start date October 1, 2026.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or equivalent) conferred in 2026 only; immediately following PhD training.
  • Publications, presentations, patents, or equivalent demonstrated.
  • Strong expertise in neurobiology, molecular and cell biology, or biochemistry.
  • Experience with human iPSC-derived neuronal or glial models.
  • Experience in confocal microscopy and high-content imaging and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex proteomics datasets.
  • Desirable: TDP-43 biology and protein interactome mapping / chemo-proteomics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute an independent, hypothesis-driven research program.
  • Develop and apply human iPSC-based neuron and glial models.
  • Utilize genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics approaches.
  • Analyze and integrate multiomics datasets.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across research units.
  • Communicate findings through presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
