Qualifications

• Five years of progressive clinical experience and a strong leadership track record.
• Master’s degree preferred; BSN required for license eligibility.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice nursing; certification in clinical area or management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operations for assigned patient care departments with 24/7 responsibility.
• Reviews and approves new hires; coordinates staff training with Education department.
• Collaborates with service line leaders to set department scope, goals and strategic plan.
• Monitors patient care activities and ensures adherence to service standards.
• Manages revenue, expenses, and staffing; forecasts budgets and variances; proposes capital items.
• Promotes physician input and cross-disciplinary collaboration in policy and service development.
