Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager to oversee Neuroscience and Oncology units. This full-time role provides leadership and operational oversight for inpatient care, guiding nursing practice and day-to-day operations.

The NOM will partner with hospital leaders to achieve patient-centered outcomes, manage staffing and budgets, drive quality initiatives, and foster a high-reliability, safe care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a BSN.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National leadership board certification through the ANCC or AONL within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the environment to ensure delivery of quality service, patient comfort, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Facilitates a healthy environment that promotes safety and high reliability of processes.
• Leads change management and policy formulation within nursing leadership.
• Manages recruitment, development, mentorship, retention, supervision, evaluation, and productivity of team members.
• Develops and manages unit/department budgets and cost-effective staffing.
• Supports implementation of new technologies and services to improve day-to-day operations.
