Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Night Shift Clinical Associate for the 6 East Neurosciences Stepdown/EMU unit. Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist with direct patient care, daily living activities, and basic rehab tasks while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days, and preferred prior patient-care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and daily bed making.
• Transport patients and specimens per policy and document activities.
• Perform routine phlebotomy and glucose monitoring as allowed.
• Take vital signs and document accurate readings.
• Assist with examinations and procedures as directed by clinicians.
• Support basic rehab/physical therapy activities and mobility.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report equipment issues.
