Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a Clinical Associate for the 8 West unit to provide direct and indirect patient care under a RN supervision. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, transports, and basic supportive care.

Responsibilities also cover preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a clean, safe unit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed making.
• Safely transport patients and specimens follow Safe Patient Handling policy.
• Perform routine basic tests and vital signs as directed.
• Assist with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report equipment issues.
