Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Neuroscience unit in Montgomery, Alabama. This full-time role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), administering medications, and conducting health screenings for new hires.
The ideal candidate must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an LPN program, along with an active LPN license and required certifications. Key skills include strong leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse (Neuroscience LPN FT 7p)
The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Nursing or completion of LPN program required.
Active LPN license required, BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned.
