Baptist Health in Montgomery, AL seeks a Neuroscience LPN at Baptist Medical Center South, First Shift. You will provide direct, individualized patient care under RN supervision, including medication administration and documentation per the Nursing Care Plan and hospital standards.

Requires an active LPN license and BLS; high school diploma or equivalent; degree or completion of LPN program preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

Summary

The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

License / Certification

Active LPN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned

Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
