Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking an LPN OR (Licensed Practical Nurse) for full-time first shift work at Baptist Medical Center South. The LPN will provide direct, individualized patient care under RN supervision, administer medications, and conduct health screenings.
The ideal candidate must possess an active LPN license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal‑directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Nursing or completion of LPN program required.
Active LPN license required, BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned.
