Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Part Time RN for the Neurosciences ICU (7S) to provide specialized nursing care in a 12-hour day shift. The RN will coordinate care across an interdisciplinary team and educate patients and families in a compassionate environment.

Requirements include a BSN, at least 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience, BLS/ACLS as required for ICU, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• 1 year acute inpatient hospital RN experience required.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and families.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to provide therapeutic care.
• Coordinates patient care and education with patients/families.
• Performs nursing assessments at admission, shift changes, and changes in condition.
• Develops and updates plans of care with individualized interventions.
• Administers medications and IV therapies per policy.
