Job summary

The nurse will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, document meticulously, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning with Case Management to ensure smooth transitions of care.

Qualifications

• BSN required and California RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient RN experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• ACLS certification required for ICU departments.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients on admission and at each shift; monitors change in condition.
• Administers medications and IV therapy per policy; delegates tasks by scope.
• Documents in flow sheets and orders; ensures complete transcription.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge planning with Case Management.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and safety in unit operations.
