Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Neuroscience Specialist to engage healthcare providers using in-person, virtual, and digital tools, delivering on-label information and product insights.

You will coordinate with MSLs, Market Access, and Patient Support to optimize local care delivery and patient outcomes. The role reports to the Area Business Lead and requires strong medical knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and ethical, compliant engagement with HCPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience.
• Experience in CNS, psychiatry, or ADHD preferred.
• 4+ years in sales with HCPs; multi-product experience preferred.
• Must reside within 50 miles commuting distance of the primary city in the sales territory.
• Cross-functional life sciences experience in commercial settings.
• Ability to work in an evolving, transformed environment.
• Proven coaching, training, and mentoring abilities.
• Commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to convey complex clinical and product information clearly.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel overnight if needed.

Responsibilities

• Engage healthcare professionals through in-person, virtual, and digital tools.
• Direct customers to colleagues (e.g., CSS) when appropriate.
• Ensure requests are met and solicit feedback on engagement quality.
• Facilitate speaker programs to share knowledge and insights.
• Organize local provider groups with regional leaders.
• Elevate opportunities and feedback to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate with ecosystem team to adjust targeting and call plans.
• Use insights from customer-facing roles to inform local strategy and goals.
