Job summary

Qualifications

• MD, MD/PhD or equivalent; board certification in Neurology; subspecialty in Neuromuscular Medicine/Clinical Neurophysiology with EMG.
• Fellowship training completed; Tennessee medical licensure and VUMC clinical privileges eligibility.
• Record of excellence in clinical care, scholarship, education, and service for senior faculty.
• Leadership experience in program development, mentorship, collaboration, and responsible resource management.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and commitment to inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a strategic vision for the division's clinical, research, educational, and academic missions.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain faculty, APPs, trainees, and staff with an inclusive culture.
• Oversee clinical quality, safety, access, efficiency, patient experience, and growth across programs.
• Promote scholarly productivity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical research with trial enrollment.
• Partner with ALS leadership to grow neuromuscular clinical research and trials.
• Manage divisional resources and financial performance with departmental/health system leaders.
• Represent the division within VUMC and externally, align stakeholders to shared goals.
