Job summary

PVESC in Portland, ME seeks an experienced Neurology Assistant to join our multi-specialty and emergency team. You will work with veterinary technicians and board-certified neurologists to deliver advanced care for patients with complex neurological conditions.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, imaging support, anesthesia monitoring, and client education, while maintaining thorough medical records and collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Neurology specialty or experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Experience with EzyVet or SmartFlow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with neurological exams and procedures.
• Support MRI, CT, radiology, neurosurgery, and advanced diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and administer treatments.
• Educate and support clients throughout their pet's care journey.
• Maintain detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with specialists across multiple departments.
• Deliver exceptional patient care with skill, empathy, and attention to detail.
