Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts is seeking a Clinic/Practice Assistant to support a Neurology and Spine practice in Peabody. You’ll welcome patients, schedule appointments, handle check-in/out, and assist with patient records and billing in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires strong organization, customer service, and computer skills, with CMAA preferred and Epic experience desired. Onsite work with a Monday–Friday schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of office experience required.
• Strong customer service and clear communication with patients, providers and team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office procedures.
• Manage phone calls, messages, and routine questions.
• Excellent organization, time management and multitasking.
• CMAA certification preferred.
• Experience in a community-based medical practice preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients to create a positive experience.
• Schedule patient appointments and support check-in/check-out.
• Answer phone calls, handle routine inquiries, route questions.
• Assist with patient documentation, scanning, printing, and filing.
• Help with patient billing forms and co-payments as needed.
• Coordinate medical records, lab results, prior authorizations, and test inquiries.
• Use scheduling, registration, and billing systems; support department as needed.
• Assist with surgical scheduling or template blocking as required.
