Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator I to oversee a five-year NIH-funded sleep/circadian study in bvFTD, coordinating visits, PSG, MRI, and neuropsych assessments. You will train staff on actigraphy, manage data in REDCap, and assist with IRB submissions, with occasional evening activities and local travel.

The role offers hands-on exposure to sleep imaging, multidisciplinary teams, and end-to-end research operations within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, or a related field.
• At least one year of clinical research or clinical care experience.
• Comfort working with cognitively impaired adults and caregivers, including evening PSG set-ups.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to data entry and documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for hotel-based PSG set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate participant visits, actigraphy windows, PSG nights, MRI sessions, and neuropsych testing.
• Administer and score neuropsychological and behavioral measures under supervision.
• Set up and train on home actigraphy devices and caregiver instruction for sleep diaries.
• Support recruitment and screening through clinics and ADRC, tracking dispositions.
• Obtain informed consent, including surrogate consent for bvFTD participants.
• Enter, clean, and quality-check study data in REDCap; maintain regulatory binders.
• Coordinate IRB submissions and ongoing reviews; prepare materials for conferences.
• Manage device inventory, shipping, charging, and reminders for diaries.
