Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in sleep, neuroimaging and frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD). The NIH-funded study integrates actigraphy, PSG, MRI and neuropsychological assessment over five years.

The fellow will lead imaging analyses, supervise team members, contribute to first‑author publications, present at conferences, and pursue an independent research line with mentorship toward career development awards.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent doctorate completed by start date.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R for data analysis.
• First-author publication record appropriate to career stage.
• Ability to coordinate a multidisciplinary team independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead processing and analysis of study neuroimaging data.
• Draft analyses linking sleep metrics to imaging and outcomes.
• Provide day-to-day oversight and mentorship of staff.
• Ensure data quality across actigraphy and PSG streams.
