Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Regional Account Manager to represent our neurology and Fabry disease products to healthcare professionals across a multi-state territory.

This field-based role requires extensive travel and aligns with cross-functional teams to drive sales and patient access while adhering to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales, including 3+ years in rare disease, with a proven track record of exceeding targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in life sciences, business, or healthcare.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare sales experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of rare disease, orphan drug or highly specialized sales experience.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing a territory.
• Experience selling in specialized clinics, hospitals, and academic centers.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales targets in a compliant manner and contribute to the metabolism business unit.
• Implement marketing strategies to meet sales and patient objectives for neurology and/or Fabry disease products on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Collaborate within a matrix environment with Patient Services, Marketing, Managed Markets and Medical Affairs.
• Develop business partnerships with targeted physicians and healthcare staff and understand their needs.
• Identify key treatment centers and facilities and collaborate to optimize patient care.
• Establish and maintain relationships with patient and disease-focused advocacy groups.
• Utilize a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach for neurological diseases and Fabry disease.
• Address and resolve product access and reimbursement issues.
• Travel extensively within territory and meet credentialing requirements for hospital access.
