Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York, NY, is seeking a full-time Practice Coordinator for the Department of Neurology. You will provide administrative support, maintain patient flow, and safeguard patient confidentiality while supporting daily clinic operations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and strong organizational skills; two years of related experience is preferred. Knowledge of EPIC is advantageous, and flexibility in shift hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to uphold HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day administration of the department.
• Ensure timely patient flow and monitor physician schedules in EPIC.
• Review and adjust weekly schedules.
• Open/close provider schedules on EPIC.
• Supervise clinical support staff in the absence of the Practice Manager.
• Answer phones, route calls, and provide routine information professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments with the nurse navigator.
• Obtain medical records from external facilities.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-certify visits as needed.
• Process pathology and Optune requests.
• Sort and distribute the division's mail.
• Back-up for Telemedicine during business hours.
• Perform financial transactions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
