Job summary

Avera Orthopedics Aberdeen is seeking a qualified physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, and care within an established practice. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, perform procedures, educate patients, and ensure quality, compliant care.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient safety, and adherence to practice policies while maintaining comprehensive records and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• MD/DO board-certified or eligible to practice in the service state.
• Active DEA license required (federal & state) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols and standard of care.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and interpret results to formulate care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure quality, safe patient care and compliance with applicable regulations.
